The Flying Circus ->NEW ACT

We took everyone’s favorite game ANGRY BIRDS and turned into a real life game! Actually,  into a new Circus Imagination act!
Hanz & Franz are our strong man from Germany in a quest to free the runaway piggie from livestock. To assist them with this chore we have a very advanced piece of German artillery: a slingshot. Starring as the main stars of this Flying Circus act are the angry lion, the angry bear and the angry tiger! If their aim fails there’s a football shaped angry giraffe to come save the day!

New Silly Clown Goggles

Somerset, CA: Hello everyone! Here’s the Circus Imagination version of the perfect silly clown goggles, easy to put on, comfortable and already come with their own noses!

Want to make your own? You’ll need:

  • Funny dollar store glasses
  • Hot glue
  • Elastic hair bands
  • Colorful buttons
  • Scissors
  • Foam Clown nose

Break the part of the glasses that goes over the ears off, cut the elastic hair bands in half, hot glue the band in place, cover the glue spot by glueing the button over. Slightly open foam clown nose up, place a “v” of hot glue on the opening and glue it to the nose part of the glasses. Done!

Brand New Website: Interactive and Fun!

circusimag-website-screenprint

Somerset, CA: Here it is kind of a “beta” version of our future website. I developed it so both children and adults could enjoy and have their own little areas to read about the circus.

For the grown ups check out the Home Page it’s filled with information.

It starts with a short bio of the circus and a news feed from our blog. Scrolling down you’ll learn about our new business Clown College, find our Social Media links. There’s also a character biography, a Video and a circus freebie Desktop Background download.

The Circus Page has a quick run through the whole show, with short explanations and pictures of the acts in the show. The right column I filled up with newspaper / magazine quotes about our show. My favorites are on the top!

The Characters Page is definitely for the little ones! Right now there are only 3 characters biographies: Tina the Tight Rope Walker, Sandow the Strong and Bobo the Clown.

The Calendar Page has our Google Calendar, already updated with our 2015 confirmed events. On Book Now you’ll find our contact information. Here’s a sneak peek:

Did I mention what Clown College is? We developed this amazingly fun are where children can learn basic circus skills. Juggling, balancing, walking on stilts, hula hoop tricks plus a maze to play in! Oh, and they can also be amazed by our Giant Soap Bubbles. It’s a popping frenzy!

Another new Circus Imagination Production is the Be Bop Fairy, with a pinch of pixie dust and many magical bubbles. She does giant soap bubbles, face painting, LED and FIRE hula hoop performance.

Circus Imagination – Summer 2013

We are an incomparable type of circus. Here the children become the performers. That means we take kids from the audience and turn them into instant circus artists! Tight rope walkers, wild animals and even human cannon balls! Our goal is to encourage kids to be active, use their imaginations and play outside! Having tons of fun throughout the way is just a consequence.

The Lion Transformation

Calistoga,CA: Hello everybody! Hope everything is going great for you guys in 2012! It’s time to update Circus Imagination! We are always improving little things here and there around the circus set, but this winter we have been 100% dedicated to making the circus more magical by making the costumes more believable, more colorful, fuzzier and cozier!

There’s just so much going on right now at the exciting Circus Imagination Factory that I don’t even know where to start! So I decided to take one improvement at a time and now you’ll see our new lion costume!

After many trips to stores like Jo Ann Fabrics and Micheal’s we finally decided on the fabrics and materials to use, the pattern is from Simplicity 8222, mascot costumes, which unfortunately is discontinued, but it can still be found online. The difficulty level I would say “lots of patience” and there’s a lot of hand sewing involved, but the results are definitely worth the trouble!

Oh I can’t wait to see the kids faces this year when they see our new costumes! It’s going to be soooo exciting I can barely wait!

Below is a brief step by step picture show and tell.

Figure 1 – First Cut All the pieces – 48 TOTAL

Figure 2 – Then sandwich foam between layers of fabric, all pieces of the 3d puzzle!

Figure 3 – The front of the face gets put together first!

Figure 4 – Then the back of the head gets attached, see the fuzzy mane underneath?

Figure 5 – Now comes the hard part, inside out, attach the mane all around!

Figure 6 – Almost ready, still missing whiskers and eyebrows!

Figure 7 – Here is our old head on the left and the prototype for the new one on the right!

Figure 8 – And here is the full costume!

Figure 9 – Roooarr!!

Stay tuned with our blog and soon see the new bear costume, new tiger costume and, of course, the 2012 Circus Imagination Summer Schedule!

See you later alligator!

2011 Blog in review

Happy New Years Everybody! We wish you all the best! 2012 is here!

Gotta love WordPress! The best free blogs, the best service! Here’s the 2011 annual report they sent me today, I thought it would be fun to share!

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,900 times in 2011. If it were a cable car, it would take about 32 trips to carry that many people.
